MATERIALS
For my sample I used black cotton yarn together with a fine glitter yarn, held double.
You can also make the garland using just the cotton yarn or another black yarn of your choice. Using a different yarn weight may change the finished size of your webs.
You will also need:
• 4 mm crochet hook when using the two yarns held together, or a hook size suitable for your chosen yarn
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
Cotton works particularly well for this project as it helps the spider webs hold their shape beautifully once blocked.
BLOCKING
The pattern includes two options for blocking your finished spider webs.
You can use a mixture of white craft glue and water for a firmer web that holds its shape, or steam block the webs for a softer finish.
